Saying Goodbye to Some Favorites

I want to take a moment and thank you for your continued support of my small business. It is truly appreciated, especially during this time of COVID 19 where we are unable to gather in person for classes and events. I’m not sure what my business will look like in the coming months, but know that I am here and working on ideas to serve you as best as I can. Part of that is trying to keep you updated on products and coming up with creative ways to do online classes and events as well as videos and Facebook lives. Above the Clouds

One of my favorite new stamps sets from the 2019 Stampin’ Up! Catalog is the 2-step stamp set “Above the Clouds” (#149404). I am not only drawn to the beautifully hand drawn images but also the inspirational words it contains.

“Let you dreams soar.”
“We rise by lifting others.”
“Life is a beautiful ride.”
“Hi, friend”
“You’re off to great places!”

Who wouldn’t want to receive those beautiful words of encouragement! And I also love that this stamp set has a coordinating punch! “Hot Air Balloon Punch” (#149520). AND… you can get them as a BUNDLE including the stamp set and the punch and save! (#151135).

The “Above The Clouds” stamp set along with the “See a Silhouette” DSP (#149443) bring a fun artsy feel to these cards. After applying a simple ink color wash on the background and stamping the images I gave the background some texture with the “Subtle 3D Embossing Folder” (#151775). If you look closely you will see that I also ran the strip of DSP through the same folder. This technique really does make this DSP look like it’s painted on an artist canvas.

And no card is complete without accessories. I finished up by adding “Pearlized Doilies” (#146936), a small folded piece of “Granny Apple Green Textured Weave Ribbon (#146920), “Silver Metallic Thread” (#138402) and “Rhinestone Basic Jewels” (#144220).

Project Life by Stampin’ Up!

The most exciting news was announced today! Stampin’ Up! has partnered with the wonderful Becky Higgins to to bring us the real deal… authentic Project Life products in exclusive Stampin’ Up! colors and designs. Woot! Woot! How exciting is that!!! I am over the moon about it and can’t wait to get my hands on it to start playing! Yes… I am doing a happy dance today… even with all the snow on the ground… and it being tax day… it’s a good day! Best news ever!!!! You can read more about it on Becky’s Blog.
