Natalie’s First Solo Show

Natalie's First Solo Show -touchtheedgestudios.com
We are so very proud of this gal! At the end of 2017 Natalie was selected as one of the “Kid Artisans” for the Not Your Mama’s Big Holiday Market that took place in the Short North of Columbus.

Art Show Prep - touchtheedgestudios.com
With my help and the help of her sisters, Natalie spent hours prepping for the show…  printing, cutting, matting and framing her beautiful art work.  I thought I’d share a peek at some of her artwork and booth set up.

She had a lot of fun making buttons as well.

Not Your Mama's Craft MarketShe had a wonderful day and enjoyed sharing her art with those who stopped by her booth. We are so thankful for everyone who came out to encourage and support her and her creative endeavors. If you would like to see more of Natalie’s work you can follow her over on her Instagram account @lightningstar1389.

You can also support Natalie and purchase her artwork at the Liberty Tree Artisan Market in Powell, Ohio on March 10th from 10am to 2pm. I invite you to stop by our Touch The Edge Studios family booth.

I am also working on getting some of Natalie’s art prints up on our online shop over at Touch The Edge Studios website. It’s still a work in progress, just like we are.

Blessings!

Quick and Simple Spring Tablescape

Easter Table 2016 www.stampwithanita.com

We had a blessed Easter with family and friends celebrating our Risen Lord.  It was such a treat to have ALL our kiddos home and even a few extra.  The pic above of our table shows the calm before the storm.  I think this is the first year I actually gave in and used paper and plastic plates. GASP!!!  I know…  I couldn’t believe it either.  But as I was setting up the table Saturday night I didn’t want to spend my time on Easter hand washing all those china dishes.  It’s okay to take a break some years and as our family continues to grow and move out our time with all of them here together is priceless. Living With the Thorn of an Unseen Illness

2Corin12:9_www.stampwithanita.com

More labs for my Natalie today. Since Spring her life has been doctor visits, labs, tests and again more doctor visits and tests. It’s so hard to watch your child who once had an abundant amount of energy and life become stricken with an overwhelming weariness that causes her to not be able to stand. Natalie was diagnosed with POTS – Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome which makes it difficult for her to stand up without passing out. For today’s post I won’t go into a lot of specifics but you can check out this POTS overview of what she deals with daily. Today’s post is not the typical post showing a fun project, but rather a raw and honest peek into my life and heart at this moment. Continue reading

Christmas Sugar Scrub

DIY-CHRISTMAS-SUGAR-SCRUB-www.stampwithanita.com

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of sharing a quick and fun DIY project with Mom Connection, a group of young moms at my church.  When I was asked to come up with a creative activity lots of ideas went through my head.  Young moms definitely need to feel loved, appreciated and pampered so I decided to share with them how to make a yummy homemade sugar scrub.  Sugar scrubs are such a simple way to pamper yourself and they make a wonderful gift during the Christmas season. We all love receiving gifts.  But I’ve found that the joy found in giving can not even compare. This FREE Tutorial is my gift to you.  You will find the link below.

This past week and weekend was fully packed with lots of gift giving and blessings!  I had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday.  Not just any birthday… this was the BiG one!  The BiG FIVE-0!  When did that happen?  Doesn’t seem possible.

But I have to say… my family made this the best birthday ever… regardless of the number.  Have I mentioned just how much I love this man who is a true gift from God to me. Continue reading
