Anita’s 2019 Fall Retreat Registration is Now Open!

It’s that time! Kiddos are all back in school. The air temperature has cooled a bit… At least for now. In Ohio that may change before I finish typing. Even Fall decor has begun to pop up on my social media feeds and in stores all around. I think we are all looking forward to Fall and all the beauty it brings.

And of course Fall also brings one of my favorite events of the year… Fall Retreat! This time last year I remember being so stressed about moving my Fall Retreat from the camp ground to the hotel setting. But, as those of you who went know, it turned out to be a great change. The hotel worked out beautifully. I am looking forward to hosting it again at the Columbus Northwest Marriott. We may even have Chad back again as our server.

I am looking forward to our time together. I invite you to join us on the weekend of October – 18th through the 20th at the Columbus Marriott Northwest in Dublin. Registration for this year’s Fall Retreat as well as your hotel room is now open.

We’ve got a spot for you and would love to have you join us for this year’s Fall Weekend Retreat! It doesn’t matter what creative projects you bring to work on you are welcome to join us for this weekend.

So grab a girlfriend and get registered… or come alone. I promise you will make new friends!

PLEASE NOTE:
Retreat registration DOES NOT include your optional hotel stay. You will need to make two separate registrations – One for the Retreat itself and one for your hotel room. We do have a block of rooms for a great rate.

Guest rooms feature 2 double beds with ultra comfortable bedding, spa like showers, smart tv, mini-frig and room service. Blocked Room Rate available only till Sept. 27th $89 (+ tax, fees) per night w/ 2 double beds.
Rooms can have 1 to 4 guests so you can share the cost.

Bible Journaling

I’ve always been a note taker. There’s just something about having a pen or pencil in my hand and recording what I hear or experience that just brings things alive for me. I have notebooks and journals full of hand scribbled notes, ideas, and doodles. It’s fun to see that a couple of my kids are drawn to the same creative process and desire.

Although I’ve always taken notes during church sermons and Bible studies but I’ve not really journaled onto the pages of my Bible other than the typical underlining and a few quick notes in the margin. I had always saved my thoughts for recording in a separate notebook or journal. But thanks to fellow artist Stephanie Ackerman I’ve been introduced to a whole new world of actually doing creative journaling IN my Bible. My favorite new group on Facebook is the Journaling Bible Community organized by artist Shanna Noel. It has changed the way I come to God’s Word each day. Continue reading →

The most exciting news was announced today! Stampin’ Up! has partnered with the wonderful Becky Higgins to to bring us the real deal… authentic Project Life products in exclusive Stampin’ Up! colors and designs. Woot! Woot! How exciting is that!!! I am over the moon about it and can’t wait to get my hands on it to start playing! Yes… I am doing a happy dance today… even with all the snow on the ground… and it being tax day… it’s a good day! Best news ever!!!! You can read more about it on Becky’s Blog.
