YES!!! It’s that time!!!!
It’ time for my Fall Stamp Camp Weekend Retreat!!!
Registration is now open
I have to admit… sometimes want to change the name because there is so much more that happens than stamping. Those of you that have been know what I mean.
Even though for me it’s one of the most physically exhausting events I do… when I enter the grounds and start to drive back this familiar road I can literally feel the stress leaving my body and a sense of peace comes over me. I’m able to just breathe…
I am often overtaken with the beauty found here.
This is one of my very favorite events that I do held at one of my very favorite places on earth.
I’ve been hosting our Fall Weekend Retreat at Kirkwood Camp for over ten years.
Fall is such a beautiful time of year… and Kirkwood Camp is such a beautiful place to get away and spend some quiet time to breath in the fresh air of Autumn and all it’s beauty.
Even more beautiful than the grounds themselves are the people and relationships…
It’s a place to spend treasured time with girlfriends, catching up on life and families, being inspired, enjoying yummy food that we didn’t have to prepare, sharing ideas and inspiration, encouragement, and unleashing creativity that we might not have even known we had.
Sometimes… we create… and listen in on the Buckeyes…
cuz women can do more than one thing at a time 🙂
Sometimes we belly laugh until we cry…
Sometimes we share embraces of genuine love and comfort…
And sometimes wonderful men bring lovely flowers to beautiful women…
We all love Tim and Judy Swicegood and their daughter Olivia who are the resident managers who run Kirkwood Camp every day of the year. The Swicegoods are so much of the magic of this special place. The above pic was taken from our 2009 retreat. It was their anniversary weekend and they spent it serving us. Such a sweet memory for those of us who were there.
So many fun memories from one camp to another…
Some of you began this journey with me from the very beginning and continue to faithfully return each year. Some years we have had a huge group of ladies and some years a smaller group, but each year dear friends reunite and brand new friendships are formed.
Some of us even have fond memories of dear friends who loved camp but are no longer here on earth. We find comfort in knowing they look down upon us each year and smile.
I imagine them sprinkling Dazzling Diamonds wherever they go around the heavens and even spilling a little extra sprinkling of light and color down for us to enjoy…
Here are just a few more quick group pics from various years…
And just so you know… you don’t have to be a stamper to come to stamp camp. I am always amazed at the creativity I see throughout the weekend, whether it’s stamping, scrapbooking, painting, knitting, sewing and even the yummy food that is prepared for us by the awesome Kirkwood staff and volunteers. I truly believe lives have changed and miracles have happened in this special place. Can you tell this place and this event are so near and dear to my heart?
I hope you once again will join us this Fall. If you have never joined us I encourage you to take the leap and come. You won’t be disappointed. It may just be what you need…
Oh and… yeah… before I forget… there is also some pretty incredible stamping that happens…
And did I mention… lots… and lots of stamps…
